The Grey and
Grandure is a fictitious short - line which has an interchange with a proto free lance version of The
Great Northern Railroad. The Canadian Pacific Railway has running rights
with through trains over the main as well. More accurately I mostly run GN
EB and CP multi mark engines on what is constitutes a main line with an
interchange yard at Grey. The Great Northern runs a Japanese
"Swallow" 800 series "bullet train" weekly.
Management of the the GandG runs what ever it finds
attractive or interesting. As such You will see a DRGW 2 - 6 - 0 front end
an excursion train, pair of GP38s in Bangor and Arroostook colors or GP35s in
BNSF heritage on a daily run. The GandG has it's on scheme:

On the main line Great Northern U50s, GN, BNSF, BAR,
and CP,GP30-GPxx, SD7-SDXXs, AC4400s haul freight. Someday SDXX/MACs join
them along with an occasional ATSF and SP engine. ABBA F-3s,
F-7s, and PA - 1s in SP Daylight head up ultra modern passenger cars.
"Swallow' bullet trains take care of passenger service on through
runs. Some day the Swallows will bear GN EB colors, (when management has
the nerve to do it).

In this world, the GN took over the UP.
